Written Guarantee

 Brian & Christy Thompson give this guarantee on our puppies of Labrador Retrievers. It is recommended that you follow a health wellness program by your veterinarian.  Puppies are required to have a special type of nutrition for proper growth.  Consult with your veterinarian and please follow the recommendations.
*    OFA Hip Certification
The OFA hip x-ray must be completed on or after the age of 24 months by a licensed veterinarian.  When completing the form for the OFA it is important to note "Please return the x-ray to the Veterinarian."  The dog must have a microchip or tattoo for positive identification by the veterinarian.  It is best not to have the x-ray completed when a bitch is in cycle.  If there is a veterinarian that is board certified in radiology nearby it is recommended that the x-ray be completed at his/her location and you can receive a written report at that time also.
*     Eye CERF
The eye CERF must be completed on or after the age of 18 months by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist - D.A.C.V.O.

The guarantee is valid for up to 26 months of age.  We take a lot of pride in the health of our puppies and in the selection of our breeding program.  However, if the dog does not meet the above guarantee, the following conditions must be met.
For  the OFA:

If the OFA determines that your dog does not meet criteria for certification of the hips:
1.    A copy of the OFA denial hip certification letter, and
2.    A copy of the hip x-ray, and
3.    All copies of the medical records.
4.    The dog must NOT have been used for breeding or been bred.
5.    The dog must still be owned by the original purchaser.
6.    The dog must be spayed or neutered by your veterinarian and
       confirmed in a letter from the vet that the procedure was completed.
7.    The dog must not have received an injury preventing certification.
For the Eye CERF:

If a certified veterinary ophthalmologist determines that your dog has progressive retinal atrophy:
1.    A copy of the eye CERF examination, and
2.    All copies of the medical records.
3.    The dog must NOT have been used for breeding or been bred.
4.    The dog must still be owned by the original purchaser.
5.    The dog must be spayed or neutered by your veterinarian and
        confirmed in a letter from the vet that the procedure was completed.
6.    The dog must not have received any injury preventing certification.
*     Since your dog is an important member of the family we do not request that the dog be returned.  However, you must guarantee that the dog will not be re-sold at anytime.
*     You are entitled to another puppy of similar quality and price.  If you should select another puppy that is of higher value, you will pay the difference of what you originally paid and the new puppy only.
*    Any and all freight charges, including transportation fees, insurance, and kennel crates are the responsibility of the owner requesting a puppy being replaced.
